Inaugural Day of Service
Mayor-Elect Danny Avula’s Inauguration will be both a celebration and a day of concrete action that invites all Richmonders to serve our communities. On January 11, after his swearing-in ceremony, Danny’s Inaugural Committee and the City of Richmond will host service projects across the City in all nine Council Districts, meeting the needs of our community, our schools, and nonprofit partners. We hope Richmonders will make January a full month of service to start the New Year, with opportunities to serve on Inauguration Day and on January 20, the Martin Luther King, Jr., National Day of Service.
