Maymont is a 100-acre historic estate and park, located in Richmond, Virginia, with many unique experiences for all to enjoy, including the historic Maymont Mansion, The Robins Nature Center, arboretum, formal gardens, and habitats for native Virginia wildlife and farm animals. With seasonal events, programs and rental spaces, over 800,000 guests enjoy Maymont yearly. Since 1975, Maymont has been maintained and operated by the nonprofit Maymont Foundation, committed to creating experiences that delight, educate and inspire its guests Volunteer Position Description and Purpose: Don’t miss this sixth annual fall tradition at Maymont, Garden Glow presented by Kroger! This year the spectacle will be bigger than ever, illuminating the iconic Italian Garden, historic architecture and the Japanese Garden. At sunset, the Carriage House Lawn transforms into the Glow Village with food trucks, fire pits, a Glow Bar and Glow Shop – fun for friends, family or date night in an unforgettable setting. Volunteers support Check-In, Bar and Drink Sales (21+), Glow Village attractions, and the Glow Path through the iconic Japanese Garden and Italian Garden. Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities: Volunteers support registation, bartending, and directing guests along the path. Other Information (if applicable): Please park and enter through the Hampton St. Gate - 1700 Hampton St. Volunteer Check-In will be inside the gate. |
