Gardening at Girls For A Change
Brief Organizational Description:
Girls For A Change (GFAC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit youth development organization aimed at empowering Black girls in Central Virginia to visualize their bright futures and potential through discovery, development, innovation, and social change in their communities. Our mission is to prepare Black girls for the world and the world for Black girls.
Volunteer Position Description and Purpose:
The center has beautiful raised garden beds in the back. They are in need of maintence to help them get ready for the girls to enjoy this spring and summer.
Volunteer Dates:
- July 14th
- August 24th
- September 14th
Other Information
- Dress Comfortably
- Bring you own gardening gloves
- Bring a water bottle
- This event WILL be cancelled if it rains
