Build a Pop-Up Park with Richmond ToolBank
Brief Organizational Description:
Richmond ToolBank serves community-based organizations by providing tool, equipment, and expertise. Each year we provide $1 million in tools & equipment to hundreds of community organizations and more than 10,000 volunteers.
As part of our mission to equip community-based organizations, we also offer tool training and team-building workshops. This project combines all three facets of our programs to engage community members in the practice of using ToolBank tools to build a new pop-up park at W. Broad and Wayne St.
Volunteer Position Description and Purpose:
Volunteers will work with ToolBank staff to construct and install public furniture at a pop-up park located at W. Broad and Wayne Streets. This project is part of a partnership using "Lighter, Quicker, Cheaper" approaches to increasing public greenspace and improving multi-modal safety in Richmond.
