Tree planting and more at Canoe Run Park Nov 9th!

Brief Organizational Description: 
Capital Trees specializes in collaborative urban greenspace development and maintenence. We work to create and maintain outdoor spaces that enhance both Richmond's community and environment. 

Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities:
Volunteers will assist with several new installations and maintenance around Canoe Run Park including:

  • Tree planting and caging
  • Mulching
  • Garden planting (pollinator garden)
  • Bench installations 

Come learn about trees and pollinators while giving back to the community!

Qualifications, Skills, & Requirements:
No gardening experience necessary! But ideally volunteers should be ready to:

  • Bend, squat, kneel, and /or stand for extended periods
  • Lift up to 20lbs
  • Use small hand tools such as: troul, shovel, etc
  • Be comfortable working outside 

Time Commitment:
This shift will take place between 9am-Noon Saturday November 9th
