Volunteer With A Group
We encourage friends, families, coworkers, and other groups to volunteer together! Simplify the group sign up process by using our team functionality!

A couple examples of why you may want to create and sign up as a team are:

  • The age requirements of a volunteer opportunity indicate that an adult must accompany a youth volunteer. To sign up the youth volunteer, an adult who meets the age requirements must sign them both up as a team.

  • You are organizing a group to volunteer together (a work affinity group, a fraternity or sorority, or any group that wants to volunteer together). Instead of requiring everyone to create an account and sign up independently, you can simply collect names, create a team, and sign everyone up at the same time.

  • You want to track cumulative hours completed by members of your group. Maybe as a family, or for your Girl or Boy Scout Troop, or any group!

Important information to keep in mind:

  • The person who creates the team will need to have an account on CFengage.

  • The team creator is also automatically designated as the Team Captain.

  • Team Captains MUST attend the opportunities they sign the team up for, relay relevant information to their team members, ensure that members attend, and adjust the sign up if there are team members who cannot attend.

  • You can designate another member of the team to be the Team Captain, but they must also have a confirmed volunteer account on CFengage.

  • Creating a team does not mean you’ve registered the team for any opportunities. You will need to go to the opportunity page you intend on attending and click the button “Sign up with a team” next to the “Sign Up” button.
