Lunch and Learn event in Swansboro West
Our Lunch and Learn educational events gather neighbors in greenspaces around Southside to learn about the history of our area, share what greening is all about, and explore ways residents can tap into City resources that are doing sustainability work. Neighbors also learn how to plug into climate action work happening with our partners. This lunch and learn session will provide a platform for knowledge-sharing, interactive discussions, and networking opportunities with like-minded individuals.
Brief Organizational Description:
Our mission is to improve health outcomes and the quality of life for Southside Richmond by building green spaces and advocating for people-centered policy.
Volunteer Position Description and Purpose:
We encourage neighbors to attend and actively participate in this event, as it will equip us with the tools and information needed to make a positive impact on our environment.
Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities:
We’ll come together to learn, engage, and take action towards a greener and more sustainable future. We look forward to your participation in this important event.
Qualifications, Skills, & Requirements:
Ability to listen, engage, sit outside, lunch and learn.
Time Commitment:
Saturday October 19, 2024 11:00a - 1:00p (2 hours)
Other Information (if applicable):
- Volunteers will be marked in the CFEngage system.
- Parking will be in a residential neighborhood on the street. (Blake Lane) - Use 19 Blake Ln. for navigation
- Please bring a refillable water bottle.
- Lunch will be provided.
