https://linkinghopeandhelp.orgThe Link is a non-profit volunteer-based organization whose mission is captured in the opening to our Bylaws: “Linking Hope and Help, Inc. (“The Link”) is a partnership of churches and helping agencies. It functions as a centralized information and referral service for residents in Lancaster and Northumberland counties. Using an interview process that matches our neighbors in need with available and appropriate resources, its purposes are to assist families and individuals: 1) to improve the quality of their lives in a manner that builds their self-reliance. 2) to meet the hardships and challenges in their lives.” The Link assists our most vulnerable inhabitants through life difficulties, helping with housing and basic-need financial situations and at the same time offering mentoring to move people toward self-sufficiency. It offers employment assistance to those desiring work or a better job through counselling, job hunting assistance and education, and providing necessary tools and work-related clothing where necessary.
