Henrico School's 2024 Back to School Kickoff - Hoop It Up

Join us for our annual Back-to-School event Hoop It Up (3on3 Tournament Check-in), where we will welcome students and families back to school and kick off the start of the new school year! This year's event will take place on Friday, August 09, 2024 from 8am-8pm.
We'll have fun activities and games for kids, refreshments, and a chance for families to learn more about what to expect in the upcoming school year.
Our Back-to-School event is a great opportunity for our Henrico families to connect with other families, school and central office staff, and community partners and start the new school year on a positive note. We look forward to seeing you there!
We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available for the event:
- Basketball volunteers (scoreboard keepers, score sheet trackers, runners/floaters - some knowledge of basketball may be helpful)
- Kid zone volunteers (support engagement with youth at stations)
- Magisterial room volunteers (support set-up, guide visitors to rooms, connect vendors to appropriate HCPS representatives to answer questions or needs)
Henrico Schools Volunteer Application is required. You will be approved after receipt of your application (under step "2" School Preference, choose ‘Oak Avenue Complex’ under the title Administration at the bottom of the page).

Other Information:
- Please bring volunteer log for signature
- Orientation for scorekeepers and sheet trackers will take place, virtually, on Wednesday, August 7th at 6:30 pm.
- Dress comfortably but appropriately for a child-centered event
- Volunteers will receive a parking pass electronically and will be able to park near the West 2 and East 2 entrances.
